Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts & Venturers were a major pastime for many Leigh Creek children. Those who joined these organisations experienced camping and hiking in the Flinders Ranges. They learnt about bush survival, camping, cooking, teamwork and many other valuable life skills.
